Japanese Washi Paper covered metal tea tins are designed with traditional Japanese patterns and handcrafted techniques. Japanese Washi paper inspires strength, beauty, and quality. Traditional Washi paper is made from the fibers of the Gampi tree, the Misumata Shrub, the Mulberry bush, Bamboo, Hemp, Rice, and other natural materials. The natural fibers, bark, and flower petals provide great texture and character to these papers from Japan.
As Washi Paper is stronger and more durable than ordinary paper, it provides great exterior protection and with an inner lid, it ensures airtight storage. Keeping your tea leaves fresh for a longer period.
Storage Tips:
Matcha is super delicate, and should be stored airtight in cool, dry place and away from light to keep optimal freshness. We kindly ask you not to store in transparent containers.
Opened matcha should be used within 1 month. Unopened matcha can be kept in the fridge for 6 months. Anything beyond that time frame risks matcha deterioration in quality and taste.
